Earth Day: Air at the Haan Museum

From the Biodiversity Research Community, please join us for an Earth Day Festival celebrating biodiversity, sustainability, and community. This year’s topic is Earth Day: Air. This free outdoor event invites visitors to explore the connections between science, native plants, and sculpture in a vibrant garden setting.

Student researchers will present their work throughout the garden, sharing discoveries and insights about the natural world. Pop-up research talks by ISF faculty will also take place during the festival, rounding out this year’s Sustainability On! seminar series with engaging, accessible conversations about environmental research and innovation.

Guests can enjoy live music, children’s activities, tours of the native plant garden, play games and win prizes, experience interactive exhibits, and experience art inspired by nature while connecting with researchers and fellow community members.

The festival takes place from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Haan Museum gardens and is free and open to the public. Visitors attending the event will also have the opportunity to purchase discounted admission to the museum during the festival.

Celebrate Earth Day with us as we explore ideas, research, and creativity that support a more sustainable future.

This event is co-sponsored event by the Haan Museum and Purdue University, HIFI Lab at JMHC, Silver House at JMHC, Purdue’s Institute for a Sustainable Future, and the city of Lafayette.
